Have you ever considered that depositing money into your bank account may have long-term psychological effects on you? -An implicit commitment contract is what it is! If you do not deposit X amount of $ into your bank account, you will forgo the benefit or accrued interest. Globalisation: Serving Japanese food at a German town, in Australia.

Imagine that, Japanese food being served in a German town (driven by tourism) in Australia! Globalisation at its best. A couple of months ago I was a tourist in Australia, Adelaide, Hahndorf. A small German settlement that was established in the 1880s. German settlers came to Australia for a better life. And just over a century later, here I am taking a picture of a Japanese food outlet! Although Hahndorf has morphed into a tourist destination, it was simply amazing how far globalisation has come. Continue reading

a sense of belonging.

Why do we have a constant strive or need to join something bigger than us? Or an institution or firm that has massive market power and influence? -I do not speak for everyone, but being surrounded by hundreds of fellow students that wish to join a company after they graduate, it is hard to ignore the constant chatter about graduate placements and job seeking stress. We all know that universities are producing more students than there are jobs! But perhaps there is an underlying innate sense of belonging that people want to be a part of.

Whilst researching on for my dissertation, I stumbled across an economic paper that presents findings about low-trust and economic development in Latin America. Here is what it says;

We should appreciate the gift of sight because it channels body language and reflects how another entity is being viewed.
